Experience first-hand how millers and bakers lived and worked in the past: exciting guided tours will tell you interesting facts about the functioning of the historic watermill and provide insights into the daily work of the traditional wood-burning bakery Schmilka. Right next door, the master brewer will guide you through the brewing factory Schmilka. Guided tours through the mill and the bakery take place daily from 10 am, by the brewery from 11 am.
In the secluded mill beer garden on the waterwheel you can enjoy fresh organic beer from the brewing factory Schmilka. In addition, a delicious hearty or sweet piece of the wagenradgroßen cake from the bakery next door. And for the bigger appetite there are hearty soups and delicious salads. [Nbsp] Saturday from 15 o'clock and Sunday and Monday from 14 o'clock live concerts take place here.
If you want to be creative, you can tinker your own cuddly toy in the teddy workshop or slip into another role in imaginative face painting. And on Sunday and Monday, point at 16 clock, then loads the Kasperle with the play "Kasper and the treasure chest" Kasperletheater in the shower room at the mill! The game is played with original Hohnsteiner hand puppets.
In the shower room at the mill you will also find an oversized jenga tower and a slackline.
The Schmilka Mill Festival takes place from June 8 to 10, 2019 on the occasion of the German Mill Day.
